great grip on snow/ice

Ideal for winter hikes on icy paths and hills or just to avoid falls in your driveway. The only problem is that the metal loop will eventually cut through the elastic, even though it's thicker at this point. Perhaps a plastic cleat or using recycled tire rubber will prevent this. I used plastic zip ties to secure the previous spikes. Velcro straps are also an improvement over other brands. For the price I expect 2-3 years of use but I will not pay $50-70 for spikes of similar manufacture as they may break.
