I was pleasantly surprised by the result. I bought this when there is no reflective ceiling to bounce off. When there is a ceiling the results are as expected, but when there is no ceiling and you choose the exposure settings the light bouncing off the bounce card does a great job of providing enough fill light to get the ISO and exposure Shutter low to keep speed high. enough to get a clear picture. As opposed to using a Velcro diffuser that points directly at the subject, I've had more success with this product because the light from the flash wasn't too harsh. Wires so you can tilt the top down and adjust the amount of light reflected by bending the bounce card. It's still possible to an extent, and overall I'm very happy with the product - I plan to take it with me wherever I carry my flash.
