Yeah, if that word caught your eye, you know this insidious condition. These are the best pants I have found to deal with this. My calves are bigger than my thighs, and these pants are great - the best I've ever found. They are lightweight too. I'm 6'1, 300 lbs with a belly if that helps define if this would work for you. They might become a bit tight around the ankles - in time - because the ankles are much smaller than the rest of the leg area - but if that happens I will cut them so they can open more. For now, they are a Godsend. I don't tie them as the elastic has a perfect tension as is. I cold wash them and air dry them because they are 100% cotton and I don't want ANY shrinkage. I have bought several pairs. Just be sure you get the ones that have stitching in criss-cross patterns across the front, which you can see if you look closely at the pictures.
