I was thrilled to finally have a flat bottomed litter box. The lower, rectangular part fits, the rest. It's NOT 36 inches and it DOES NOT fit. It's 36 inches IF you measure it flat and folded, but when you unfold it it doesn't even fit the 23 inch toilet I have. My cat is 36 inches from tip of tail to tip of nose (he's half Maine Coon), so his litter box (he's 17 with hip issues) is actually a 23" x 18" x 5" puppy training box. Due to his size, he can easily turn over while boxing with his hip problems. And of course, as an older cat with hip problems, he should have a box with low sides. So I thought this toilet filler would be perfect. Certainly not. Yes I like the flat bottom but in order to attach it to the sides I had to trim the sides (see photo). And no, I won't win. I will not switch to any of this company's boxes, the box I have now is the perfect size for my boy. I am very disappointed and will not buy it again.
