Bought 2 of these sets. Although we were initially told shipping would take a week, the kits arrived in just 3 days in two different batches. We used 2 lamp repair kits from the 1970's. The original lamps all had brass fittings and we wanted to upgrade them with a silver finish. We were able to use an existing threaded rod, kits and some new Lowe's lampshades to restore our lamps to like new condition. We painted the original brass cases dark silver with a high quality spray paint. The only issues we had with the kit were that initially the set screws were too far out and the harp was a bit shorter than the original. Also the lamp holder was on the cheap side. I'm deducting a star for these shortcomings. All in all, these kits were quite cheap compared to buying the parts individually.
