I bought this flashlight for early morning and late evening dog walks. There are no sidewalks in my area so we walk down the street and this flashlight is great for signaling my presence to vehicles speeding through our streets. This battery holds an incredible charge. This flashlight is still running on its original charge when I opened the box about a month ago and I'll keep it on throughout the outing. I'm not worried about battery saving. The zoom function is great. There are wild turkeys in our area that roost in some of the large cottonwood trees (4-5 stories tall) in our area and the zoom allows me to light them. I'm not sure what they mean by "tactical" but I assume it will fit in the mount, but I don't see an option to mount it on a weapon like a home defense shotgun. The flashlight has 5 different modes. I hope I don't have to use the SOS function nor the strobe functions. For my purposes, these other modes are just a few more features to scroll through to get to the always-on features. Overall a very bright flashlight in a compact size.
