This ladder looks very nice when closed and is very easy to open. However, when it opened, I had some concerns. First, not all of the latches intended to secure the crossbars are "snapped". They looked like they really clicked, but without them making a sound I wasn't 100% sure they clicked. When I climbed it, my wife noticed that it buckled inward a lot under my weight (215 pounds) and that the flexing made the climb feel a little wobbly. It didn't bend or anything so I'm sure it will support my weight, but I was uncomfortable going up or down. I'm not sure how confident I'll feel carrying paint up and down the stairs, and I definitely don't want to even reach out a little to paint a corner while standing on it. I'm giving 3 stars because I have no particular reason to doubt the safety or durability of this ladder, but the convenience and ease of use just isn't for me.
