After looking at many similar products, I took the plunge and purchased this unit to service a 90 gallon aquarium with a 20 gallon sump. It was a bit more expensive, but I decided I didn't want to deal with the potential pitfalls of cheaper models. The device arrived quickly; made of enough thick plexiglass, has an appropriate size filling box, which allows you to adjust the depth to change the water level and volume; The siphon hose is also very durable. I have tested it 3 times and the device works well for "auto start" in case of power outage or water level drop. The device is also very quiet as long as care is taken not to create bubbles in the siphon hose. The bubble causes the drain in the pan to splash. Bubbles are easily removed by lowering the fill box to the maximum level, increasing the flow that pushes the bubbles out, and then readjusting the fill box once the bubbles leave the tube. Cons: The unit shown in the picture does not come with a rear water block cover like some other models do. I did it myself, but I don't have to. The drain nozzle is slightly larger than my current sump pipe and will require a sizing adapter if you have a similar issue. Although the fitting is larger than my requirements, I believe it will serve a much larger tank. Happy with the purchase.
