Had to attach an Arkon tablet holder to this item because my tablet kept slipping out of its white mount, but the snake arm and clamp parts work great. The snake hand holds its position very well and is very stiff even when I tilt my 12.2-inch tablet towards me. And the clamp is very snug on the table and holds its position perfectly since I removed its rubber pad from it. ATTENTION! The clip will leave a round dent in your desk or wherever you attach it, so make sure you attach it to something you don't mind scratching. All in all a very well made item! Thinking about buying another one? Update 4/15/17: That's a tough little hand! I move this hand at least 4 or 5 times a day, 7 days a week and it holds its position every time. The clamp does not move and the lever remains rigid. I think I'll buy another one!
