Disclaimer: I haven't read the full product manual yet. Maybe if I really read all this I'll find some answers to things that irritate me a bit in this vacuum. But will I really do it? First let me say that I really love this little robot. We've only had him a few days, but he's great. My family affectionately called him Leonard and he does a great job with our dirty floors. I have a toddler, 13 years old, a dog and three cats. So it's always a disaster. No vacuum cleaner robot is a panacea for all diseases. At some point you still have to use a broom, mop, upright vacuum cleaner etc. to clean the floors thoroughly. But this robot vacuum is great for daily cleaning of crumbs, dirt, pet hair, etc. (I find that most people who give horrible product reviews have unreasonable expectations or aren't using the product properly.) I've been to many since Ecovac Dibot Years. It was the base model, nothing special. His navigation consisted of completely random patterns around the house (I'll say Deebot was great with outlines and angles), he got stuck a lot, and I almost constantly had to use the remote to guide him to the mess on the floor . . I bought this Shark model specifically because it has a space map and cleans with a nice straight line pattern (!). That feature alone was worth the extra money in my opinion. There are a few things I'm not thrilled with which is why I declined one star. But overall it's been a great vacuum so far, it does everything I wanted it to and more. You really need to keep small objects up and out of the way, especially cords, they get tangled in the cords. Pros: Room allocation: my favorite thing. The shark explores your entire house or individual rooms and sketches the floor plan. After the layout has been compared, a cleaning plan is drawn up using the maps. It might not be perfect, but it's close enough and has done its job well so far. Clean in straight lines: Once a space is mapped and the perimeter is known, the Shark cleans in straight lines to ensure no spot is missed. . It's very pretty to look at and way better than randomly patterned vacuum cleaners. Cleaning schedule: You can set up a cleaning schedule and your vacuum cleaner will clean automatically! And because the wheels are so tall, it doesn't get stuck very often, so I'm actually pretty sure I can leave the house while Leonard walks and he does most of his work. High wheel arches: The wheels are very high, which allows the robot to easily climb doorsteps and floor mats. I haven't had a problem with it getting stuck on anything other than an object in its path. My Deebot had small short wheel arches and kept getting stuck. Battery Life: The battery life is great! I ran it for 2 hours the other day! Cons: The quick start guide and app instructions weren't the most intuitive or easy to understand. I had to think critically (oh no) myself to connect Leonard to Wi-Fi. Unless you're completely helpless, you can understand that. The app is not very good. It's not very intuitive, the layout isn't the best. It's ok but not the best. WiFi: The biggest problem I had with this guy was connecting to WiFi (again, maybe I'll learn something useful by reading the entire manual, though). WiFi performance in my house is not the best. It seems that this vacuum cleaner ONLY works over wifi. I wish it had a cleaning mode and offline. Maybe that's it and I'm missing something? This annoys me because every time the signal drops, the robot loses connection and goes into dock mode, where it wanders around aimlessly trying to find the dock (which it can never do unless it's connected to WiFi connected is). After losing the connection I can't seem to find a way to pause or stop it other than turning it off completely, which is a bit annoying. It would be nice if there was a way to pause it if it loses connection to try to reconnect or help it get back to the dock. All in all, none of these issues are enough to make me dislike him or consider going back. I think this is a great vacuum with a lot of great features at a cheaper price than others. All in all it's worth it in my opinion!
