The only difficulty with replacing the original part was that I had to remove the gray cover from the plastic interior on both the original and the replacement stopper in order to attach it to the loop. Also, the original used hex head screws while the replacement used Phillips head screws. Since both the old and new were disassembled, I only used heavier hex head bolts when attaching to the hinge. It doesn't have a leather cover like the original, but it's close enough and looks a lot better than the torn, cracked original. Great offer.
