UPDATE: Just wanted to add that the seller contacted us after seeing this review. They offered to fix the situation with a replacement or refund. I declined because I didn't need it in this case. But thanks to them for reaching out and trying to make things right. This doesn't change the safety concerns that led to the one star rating, but I would certainly buy other products from this seller. I bought these to attach a set of broom holder clips to the side of our fridge. But there were two main problems: 1. One of the magnets arrived broken. The result was tiny, sharp pieces of magnetic metal stuck together. I found this out when I opened them up and cut myself on one of these pieces. If you try to separate them, this dust can be thrown out and become a serious hazard to children and pets. The plan was to glue them to the back of the broom holder (fairly flimsy metal with three clips) and then attach that rod to the side of the fridge. Three magnets were used. I didn't even have time to see if those three magnets would be strong enough to hold a broom, no less than three items. This is because the glue came off first with no added weight. The magnet looks like it almost slipped off the adhesive. It's hot now, but not so hot that the strong glue gives way quickly. But if you're not happy with the fragility of the magnets themselves, and you live in a constantly chilly house, I wouldn't spend any money on them at all.
