They're just okay: my feedback

Okay so I've been lifting for a couple years and I have had the Bowflex Select Tech 552 which these are very similar too. I wanted to get a heavier set of adjustable dumbbells, these definitely weren't my first choice but there was a coupon applied on Ebay for 45 dollars off and shipping was only 26 bucks. I live in Hawaii so other options such as the Nuobells 80lb version shipped to my door is over 300 bucks. Picking up both of these for under 600 to me was the best deal.Pros--Heavier, I'll probably have to upgrade in the future but I'm happy with the weight right now-Easier/faster to adjust, you push the red button and turn either side knob, there's also a satisfying click to know you're adjusted to the right weightCons--Wiggles way more than the Bowflex-Weight adjustment isn't in order, spinning the knob-Endcaps on the side are even a smaller diameter than the bowflex and are almost rounded which makes placing and balancing the dumbbells on your thighs difficult-The slots for the weight plates in the stand have a poor tolerance and depth, so if you pull these out at a slight angle the smallest plates on the end can fall out and crush your toes.-Touching back on the stand I can count on a single hand how many times I've effortlessly reinserted the dumbbells back. The Bowflex are a little longer but I believe that length is critical for reinsertion of the dumbbells back into stand so the plates don't get stuck or misaligned. In conclusion I'm content with these dumbells. I got them at a price I think was decent and they weigh more than my other set. However would I recommend these, in my situation when shipping is an absolute nightmare and other options aren't viable then yes. I would actually recommend the Bowflex 1090 over these, I haven't used those but if they perform like my 552s then those are great dumbbells if found at the right price. I've actually dropped my 552s a couple times here and there and they are beat up but still work flawlessly, these ATIVAFIT dumbbells I almost guarantee they'd break if I drop them.

Pros
  • The dumbbell set is highly portable, making it easy to transport anywhere, so users can have their workout routine with them wherever they go
Cons
  • Not suitable for exercises that require a barbell, such as deadlifts or squats
