I understand these are nail art brushes but my husband (who is always looking for cheaper substitutes for art supplies) assures me they are also perfect for watercolour/ Gouache sets are from travel brushes. Makeup brushes tend to be cheaper than artist brushes and come in a wider variety of designs. These are good for their short short handles. The extra thickness gives you a little more control and doesn't put too much strain on your arm muscles. With thin grips, you tend to grip the brush tighter than you're used to, which creates tension. These brushes are well made. Eyeliner is great for detail, while other styles have shorter than normal hair that's great for effects. The quality seems good and as long as you clean and shape them before letting them dry they hold up well and should last a long time. The small semi-soft bag is perfect for the traveling artist. Just pop it in your backpack along with a box of watercolors and a sketchbook and you're good to go. The body is rigid enough to protect the brushes and prevent the ends from bending. Needless to say my husband is very happy with them.
