Bought these for kids to wear on kindergarten water day. Kindergarten requires closed shoes and it is difficult to find cute closed shoes for an 8 year old girl. They got approval from my 8 year old! Very light quality shoes for running on the water court and for general walks. I also bought a pair for my 4 year old with a velcro closure which is perfect for him to put everything on by himself. I did the math and hoped to get 2 years out of these boots. The rating worked because they will definitely stay on their feet. But as always, check the size chart for exact sizing.
