The quality is not very good, very light thin wood but for the purpose I use it for it would be ok. They don't measure 8" x 8", they measure 7 3/4". Since they are laser cut, the measurement must be accurate. I've never had a problem sizing these boards. They are always exactly 8". So I was a bit surprised that they are the wrong size. It matters to me because I use them to mount my watercolors, which are exactly 8" squares. If I cut 0.25" around the painting to fit, that's not ok! so many sellers have sold that they have to be accurate in their descriptions lest the buyer endure this disappointment.
