I have not had this backpack for long but so far I am really enjoying it. It feels solid, well made, and attention was obviously put into detail. If I were to lose this I would buy another one. The only reason I gave this four stars rather than five is the same reasons that others have given in their reviews. 1) The handles are too soft and uncomfortable to carry as a suitcase, 2) The backmost compartment should really fully open as a clamshell backpack the way the main compartment does. Digging things out of there is a bit of a pain. this is an unnecessary design flaw.All in all though, I am very pleased with this purchase.3 months later - All of the above apply. I would still buy it again but the following drawbacks have arisen. The clips are small and difficult to clip on if you are not looking at them. This can be a bit irritating. Also, I am not sure about the design of the shoulder straps; they may be a bit too straight as I developed thoracic outlet syndrome from carrying the pack too long. Granted, I did not have the waist strap clipped on, but this has never happened with any other backpack.
