I hesitated to order SMALL or MEDIUM. I ended up ordering the MEDIUM thinking they would shrink. They REALLY shrunk. A LOT OF. I should have ordered a BIG one. About half an inch of excess material was left on each finger prior to machine washing. After washing and drying, they barely reached my wrist and the excess material disappeared and became so tight on my fingers that it was uncomfortable to wear them at night to wet my hands. They became too narrow and cut off circulation. If you are planning to use them for other purposes then they might be worth a try as they seem to be quite well made and durable. But better order one size bigger.
