Review on πŸ”Œ Klein Tools CL110KIT Electrical Tester & Maintenance Kit with Clamp Meter, Continuity Tester, GFCI Tester, Line Splitter, Case, Leads, 3 x AAA by Imed Artun

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Once I figure out the splitter.

I actually bought this for the clamp feature but my multimeter was probably over 20 years old so it's time to buy a new one. At first the line splitter confused me. How the heck could I get 90+A on a 15A device in a 20A circuit and NOT trip the breaker? Well, a linear splitter amplifies the signal by 10x (now I understand why it says X10). So that explains it. But being able to use the MAX setting meant I could activate the device and not have to look at the meter. (I'm fixing a device that trips a switch from time to time). I was disappointed in the lack of alligator clips for the probes. And Klein doesn't sell them separately. You can buy an aftermarket (which I'm waiting for) or a small test probe with built in alligator clips. However, it would be nice to include a set of clips that can't cost more than $5. I would even pay 5€ more. :D The case is good but small. It is suitable for the meter and probes, but not for additional items in the kit. So it's not really a set, it's a set of items sold as a set. But everything works fine and is easy to use. I haven't had a reason to measure anything else yet, but if I do I'm sure it will work great. Alligator clips are the right size for this.)
