They use the same wooden beads as most similar seat covers. The main difference (and worth a modest extra) is the all-black exterior, including a striking black mesh that holds the strands of pearls. and it only has an elastic band to hold it in place that runs around the back of the seat. The height of the cover doesn't matter to me as I never (never) recline so far that my shoulders or neck actually touch the car seat/headrest while driving. Finally, there are no straps or fasteners on the seat - front or side - so the cushion slips a little every time you sit down. However, this clean/minimalist approach is easily remedied with a small grab or tug on the lid to the left once you sit down. / 4 inch roller beads (I do) then this is a great buy. If a strand breaks or the mesh starts to break I will update and downgrade asap.
