I bought a cheap strop first when it arrived. I wasn't thrilled, sent it back. I remembered seeing this one, I was like, ok, try it. Came in a flat box which is good. I took it out even better, you can take it apart, put polish on one side, flip it, put a different grit on the other. Now I am satisfied that after a few minutes I can see that the blade of my knife is moving in the desired direction. The only problem I've found is that the hook sucks at the end, it's already trying to straighten out and will be replaced when I get to the hardware store.
