My family and I have used duck tape all our lives, but it wasn't until I got older and had to use it indoors that I discovered the glue didn't stick to anything. And wow, this stuff does the trick. It's just as easy to tear with your fingers as the original, but it's a darker, deeper grey, almost black but not quite. And, even better, you don't have to sacrifice any power for the no-glue-leaving bonus. It's as strong as I need it to be to hold my LED lights where I couldn't nail/screw/staple. And compared to the standard "correct band," it blows it off and is worth the extra coins. Other things leave a sticky residue after a single use and removal. After a few weeks, this tape will not leave glue or slime on wood pellets with an LED heat source. From now on I will only use it for construction and work projects in the future.
