I needed this for windows 7, the instructions said that for win 7 you need to go to a specific address which is given in the instruction for win 7 drivers. I went to this address and it was nothing but garbage. The driverless promotional links for this particular product are just the ones that cover all means of updating unwanted drivers. I got it working by going into device manager and letting it check for drivers and it worked.

Pros

cable length is 1.80 m (6 ft). USB Compatibility (USB-A) is sold specifically for use with Cisco routers or switches. Pinouts may not match other devices as there is no standard for pins or levels for RS-232 on RJ45 8-pin modular jacks.
