Like everyone it seems we had a baby who sleeps together and put him in a cot about 2 months ago. (at 6 months) He slept for a few hours and woke up. We've been doing sleep training for two months. It was stained. I thought I might find a sheet with a thin layer of memory foam because we also had issues with SIDS and I stumbled across this product in my search. I put him to bed last night and he shook his head because I don't think he knew where to turn for comfort. I could see the confused expression on his face. He slept together on a memory foam mattress. He fell asleep and didn't move an inch. He was sleeping in the same position when I went to bed and I woke up to his cooing about 12 hours later. MARVELOUS! .the only thing i feel sorry for is my eldest son who slept on an even harder mattress. The one we got for our newborn was an upgrade. With the topper on, it probably looks like he's sleeping on a cloud.
