I'm so glad I kept looking for lamp oil! Luckily I found Firefly CLEAN fuel lamp oil. This is exactly what my small (room) lamp needs. It's really clean. BUT ONLY IF YOU KEEP THE WICK AT A VERY MINIMAL LEVEL. If the exposed portion of the wick remains ultra short (in my lamp it goes ANOTHER 16 inches!) there is absolutely no smoke. The oil doesn't smell like anything either. I am very happy with this purchase and would buy again at any time. Remember: you MUST KEEP THE WICK LOW, LOW, LOW. Lower than expected.
