I purchased this product to help with carpal tunnel syndrome which gets worse at night when I sleep. There is a principle, but the bracelet is too hard, and the corners of the Velcro are sharp. Velcro also has iron strength and is difficult to detach. I'll see if the velcro softens after washing. LOL My wrists are 6 inches long but the velcro overlap is minimal. Specs say 6" to 12" and minimum gauge. It can work on 5 inch wrists. This is not a generic product. The only thing that stretches slightly is the elastic loop around the wrist.
