An additional component of a very successful cure.

I've had toilet problems my whole life. I ended up going to a specialist who didn't want to just prescribe me another drug that wasn't financially viable. She recommended several things, including Squatty Potty. I chose Porta-Squatty precisely so that he could accompany me in an emergency and now I'm glad I did. It was one of several components of the life-changing, hugely successful regimen I'm going to share with you here. My husband doesn't want to talk about it, and my friends have heard it all (and often). Below is the magic plan. Immediately upon waking, drink 14 oz. water with 2 tsp. Benefiber (try to do this around the same time each day). Then add another 32 ounces. water until noon. Drink 24 oz between noon and evening. water with another 2 tsp. beneficiary. Drink 8 ounces before bed. Water with a dose of Miralax (I do this a little earlier in the evening to stay up all night). Take the recommended dose of VSL#3 Probiotic (available at your local pharmacy but without a prescription) and at least one serving of Fiber One Granola (I eat two servings, one in the morning and one before lunch. It actually helps curb your appetite.) or oatmeal. If the desire arises, do not hesitate. Study the Bristol Chair Chart and keep a journal each day. Avoid beans, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and asparagus (too much insoluble fiber). And finally, use a squat pot. You'll find that it's the perfect complement to the "process," so to speak.
