I was looking for a macro lens when I saw this little beauty in the thrift section of the warehouse. For $73, I barely had time to pull out my wallet fast enough for fear someone would grab it before me, but I got lucky. It's one of the sharpest macro lenses on the market, even surpassing the Nikkor 105. Why it was so cheap I'll never know, but the lens focuses quickly, accurately and quietly. Also works well with extension cords! The only downside is that it doesn't work with Nikon's cheap fuzzy motorized cameras. But for my d700 it was the best deal!
