Review on 🎨 Cricut Gold Foil Transfer Sheets (Pack of 8) - Premium for Craft Projects by Dawn Fischer

Difficult to use; Easy to ruin

Not very impressive. Even if everything goes well, some traces of foil remain on the fingers if you wipe them lightly. I'm not a fan of anything that produces solid dust or residue. You can't use it as a postcard because the person you're giving it to will likely touch it and get upset with the rest of the finger. I think it's very, very subtle. No one likes having that mess of hands, clothes, food, etc. It looks like it should only be used for something you would put in a frame so you and other people can't touch it directly. When it works, it looks cool. However, it's easy to screw up. The sheets are so light and thin that it is difficult to stick them with tape. When the tape pulls out of the liner, it generates static electricity that attracts the liner, resulting in misplacement and making the tape difficult to apply without wrinkling. If it is not even, smooth and even, there will be uneven foil transfer or even missing areas, as well as more foil dust due to the foil sheets being crumpled by the transfer tool. The band itself is also very strong. You need to remove it carefully, otherwise you may tear the base paper or cardboard. The sheets of foil need to be thicker so they don't wrinkle as easily. Make the tape less sticky. Make foil transfer material less susceptible to particulate dust. As it stands, I cannot recommend this product.
