A bit of a learning curve to make sure you glued it down and messed it up on my first For that reason, but once I get the hang of it they work amazingly well, the only complaint I have is that when I ordered the kit there was no more foil in it!

Great for metallic paper and foil

This is great. It fits easily in your Cricut. I have a Design Space app on my iPad, so there is no slide tool in that app. I still use it with the crop feature, but it takes a little more thought to ensure the design is what you want and the cuts are what you want. It comes with three heads. They are identified by the number of stripes near the head. He also has three gold and three silver foil pieces to try. Parts are 4x6 inches.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Almost sent back

Wasted a whole sheet of gold because he never fully pressed all the letters. custom paper and set the default print. Also, despite using light card stock, after 3 failed attempts I selected an 80lb medium weight card in the settings and it worked. the usual place in the upper left corner. Lay it 2 inches down and 2 inches across as you will need to remove the foil while the mat is still loaded. If it's in a corner, you'll have to work under the insulation displacement connector.

Pros
  • Wide range

Dirty and unimpressive results.

I was really excited to try this embossing set with my Cricut Maker. The idea is brilliant, but the execution is lame and disappointing. The powder on the metal film will fall off your hands or other objects that rub it too hard. The tape is difficult to move and will even damage the metal powder film from the top if you try to remove it. The foil image leaves powder on your fingers at the first touch. The three tool widths are very close together; I was expecting more line variety. I've tried…

Transfers uneven

I've been looking forward to this new set for over a month. I watched a few videos to make sure I knew what to do and prepared the text for transmission. My kit arrived today and I was very disappointed. I've tried everything: different fonts, all the tools that come with it, combined with many types of cardboard, with the foil that came with the kit. I used different spots on my mat. NONE of the translations were consistent. I am attaching a photo above. In the photo with an example, note the…

Difficult to use; Easy to ruin

Not very impressive. Even if everything goes well, some traces of foil remain on the fingers if you wipe them lightly. I'm not a fan of anything that produces solid dust or residue. You can't use it as a postcard because the person you're giving it to will likely touch it and get upset with the rest of the finger. I think it's very, very subtle. No one likes having that mess of hands, clothes, food, etc. It looks like it should only be used for something you would put in a frame so you and…
