My Oral-B Triumph 5000 has been in its teeth for a long time and Oral-B is clearly phasing out models with standalone monitors , hoping that we will arrange the use of applications. Do not be fooled! The separate screen is much more convenient and works really well, plus it doesn't spy on you or try to sell you extra personal care products. The 7000 looks good and works well. The screen is a little smaller than the Triumph 5000, but it works. My only complaint is the battery indicator, which flashes when the toothbrush is charging, which it seems to be doing all the time. Going away for a few days with the included toothbrush for continuous charging while you're away? It doesn't matter, it's still flashing when you return. It doesn't seem to affect the brush's ability to do its job, but it's annoying.
