This hobby rug measures approximately 35 3/8 x 23 1/2. It's not as advertised. The description says 24x36 so why skimp a little and save pennies on plastic? You don't need exactly 24x36 for most things, so why make a big deal out of it? Well the numbers go up to 22 x 34 and it would be nice to be able to measure 2ft by 3ft sometimes. It's just the idea behind all this "make the product a little bit smaller and no one will notice" even if the price is a bit higher. Other than that, the only problem I have with the carpet is that it's warped. I've tried smoothing it out by putting books on it, but that didn't help. I tried a hair dryer to make it more flexible and put more books on it. It didn't help. I tried putting a sheet on top and ironing it on low speed. You don't want to do this. Guilty. It only made it a lot worse. In any case, you decide. Do you want a 24 x 36 mat or one that just says it's there?
