So far I really like it!

So far so good! I've only had it a few weeks, but use it almost daily. It hasn't slipped, and keeps my saddle in place as well as provides a nice cushion for my pony. He doesn't need a riser or correctional pad, so I have the all over thickness one. I use it with my Marcel Toulouse 16.5 close contact Anise saddle (sp?) Its a bit long on the sides, but I don't want to cut it so I'm fine with that. I did just do a schooling show with a contoured pad that I've only used once (gotta keep those show pads nice! lol) and I decided to put the gel pad directly on the horse with the pad over it to "hide" the excess black gel from under my saddle. During my quick day before test ride with this set up, it worked fine, however, the next day, with a 3 hour very sweaty session, the gel pad didn't move from my horses back, but the saddle pad did end up bunching up underneath the back end of my saddle, and the pad did slide forward a bit. so I recommend using it on top of the pad as is described in the description. It's held up very well so far that way with no slippage. I've accidentally dropped it in bedding, and it is pretty sticky as others have mentioned so it will pick up the hair and shavings, etc. I just dipped mine in a soapy bucket when I bathed my horse and it came clean and I layed it to air dry and feels like it did when I took it out of the package brand new again. I've gotten several compliments already on it from people at my barn, and now they want one ;-) I told them where to go! Edited after reading, forgot to mention if my saddle didn't give it away that I ride huntseat. In Florida.;-)
