I needed something to cover a set of windows in my bathroom to provide privacy and darkness (even though the window already has blinds on it, there are angles from which you can see in between the blinds; and there is a streetlight just outside that shines brightly at night and the already installed blinds do not block out enough light at night).This blind solves both problems in one product and I'm thrilled with it! The quality of the blind is really great (both the material of the blind and the construction of the blind casing). The ability to have a blind that's exactly the size I need is the best thing about it. Considering that this needed to be made to order, it came very fast (within 2 weeks). That's very impressive considering that it ships from China. This was by far the fastest I have ever received something that shipped from China, and like I said, they needed to assemble it to my specifications first.Installation: I can only speak about my experience, which was that this was installed in the "outside mount" option. I installed this on wood trim above the window. Due to the length of the blind (86 inches), it requires 4 mounting brackets to ensure that it is securely mounted. Installation required a drill, screwdriver, pencil, level, and measuring tape. All mounting hardware was included. I just used the screws, as since I was installing into wood I didn't need to use the provided drywall anchors. The instructions are better than most but still a little bit confusing in parts. Just make sure you understand everything you need to do before you start. The one issue I ran into was with placement of the mounting brackets. The instructions make it seem like the mounting brackets closest to the ends should be WITHIN 2 inches of the end. This is not the case. The mounting brackets closest to the ends need to be AT LEAST 2 inches from the end or else there is a piece of metal on the blind casing that will be in the way of being able to fasten the blind to the brackets. (Again, this was for Outside Mount - I think the installation process is different for Inside Mount).In any case, I'm very pleased with this purchase. To me the price was worth it (price goes up incrementally depending on the width and length of the blind you order).
