I bought the 7S for my 6.5 year old. It's a good length. He's a bit big. And he always had to be slim. But the waist was still a lot smaller than I expected. Its 6S in other brands has been tight. He still wears them with no complaints, but he needed new ones with no holes in the knees, so I was hoping to get a pair that would last through spring and fall. I was afraid the same brands 7S would still be too big and I knew the jumpsuit felt a bit tight in the waist. But they were still smaller than I expected. I would say if your kid is slim on other brands then maybe average on these. Now they fit my son but I can. I don't take it by the waist at all, so I don't think they'll survive until next fall. In addition, the quality of these things is always good, and washing is comfortable. The Mason wash is a little lighter than I expected but still looks lovely.
