Just received. The first impression is not very pleasant. The watch arrived on time and well packaged. Upon unboxing, the first impression of the color and finish is something cheap, like a $20 watch from a Florida flea market. The watch is a good weight, the face and numbers are clean and quite appealing. very flimsy, and the mounting covers, wrap posts, chain attachment points, etc. are all of poor quality. The opening, closing, winding and general handling of the watch give the impression of something cheap and flimsy, not meant for everyday use or durability. The included watch chain is of very poor quality with a light copper ugly finish. Almost like a child's toy. Too tasteless, cheap and again flimsy to use every day for the last 24 hours. The clock showed the correct time. An important aspect of a pocket watch is the feel in the hands as it requires a very personal touch to behold. A pocket watch needs to feel solid and reliable every time you touch it. They should give the owner a feeling of reliability and trust. At this point, I highly doubt this watch is capable of that. Their general touch warns the wearer that they could fall apart at any moment. All in all, $150 isn't much for an average pocket watch of acceptable quality. In this case, the price is overpriced by about $100-125. They look and feel like any of the $30-$50 watches in this category. Lets see what happens.
