I think this is a great product. It does exactly what it claims to do. The USB socket charges my phone in about the same time as the factory charger. Regarding the installation, I agree with other reviewers. This will be a problem if the original socket was just pinched. This is exactly what happened in my case. Not only is this outlet deeper (the standard outlet is 3/4" deep, this one is 1 3/4"). It's also wider, but fits in a regular-sized junction box. In my case, the junction box was partially tiled. My husband had to use his Dremel tool to sand down the tiles. By removing this obstacle, the outlet was successfully installed. Some reviewers expressed concern about the weak design of the cable connections. I didn't watch it. The connections were strong enough. My advice to anyone having installation difficulties: persevere. You will be happy when everything is ready and working.
