I would like it to be a plug in type rather than a screw on type

This can be a little tricky to install as the copper wires have to be wrapped around the screw rather than going through the hole. If you unscrew the screw too far, the inner plate inside the device will move by itself, making the installation process very tedious, at least for me. The easiest way to install would be to loosen the screw just enough to slide the straightened copper wire in, wrap it around the screw with pliers, and then screw the screw in. I learned this the hard way.

Works great (when wired correctly. My fault)

Worked great on second attempt to install - error was my fault. The side wiring screws were almost impossible to use. The screws don't give enough room to wrap 14 gauge wire around them. The rear wiring option for the rear connector white and black wires has two options. Look closely at the chart for which options to use (above for black, below for white). I didn't look closely and neither USB worked after installation. I took a closer look and realized my mistake. I inserted both wires intoโ€ฆ

Nice addition to my kitchen

I think this is a great product. It does exactly what it claims to do. The USB socket charges my phone in about the same time as the factory charger. Regarding the installation, I agree with other reviewers. This will be a problem if the original socket was just pinched. This is exactly what happened in my case. Not only is this outlet deeper (the standard outlet is 3/4" deep, this one is 1 3/4"). It's also wider, but fits in a regular-sized junction box. In my case, the junction box wasโ€ฆ
