I'm moving to a new classroom next year that doesn't have a SmartBoard or projector (I'm in the basement). I decided to go for the biggest bang for my buck. For a class, that's generally broke! So many connection options! Before the start of the new year, however, I'll be using it in my office for video conferencing. It's amazing how far technology has come in the last decade. There are many connection options. Currently my computer is connected to the network and I'm using it as a monitor (obviously it's going to be displayed on my wall. I'm planning to invest in a drop down screen in the next few months. It's great to be able to see the real resolution of the screen instead of having to scale everything down like I do with an old projector in my old class. No compromises on clarity. It's great. Colors are bright and clear. I've never used a projector that actually displays HD For me I've also tried it with my iPad, LG V60, Chromecast and Revain Fire TV Stick. Everything worked as expected. It's a portable video station. I also ordered a document camera which I can't wait to use with it, when it comes it's very bright too I've been using the Epson at 4000 lumens for the last eight years it's out of the water when it comes to brightness actually In fact, it can be used in a room with windows. Of course it looks best with the blinds down, but it's nice to know I can. I'll take advantage of that when I'm somewhere that gets sunlight. Luckily I'll be in the basement next year. Ha ha. 6800 lumens makes a big difference. The remote control covers all basic functions. Just the basics. Luckily, it's easy to navigate through the settings and adjust the keystone correction. It didn't take long to show it right on the wall. Passing through the various entrances was also very easy. Very user friendly interface. The sound is ok. It's better than what I had, but I was hoping for something louder. It's 10 watts, so don't expect to fill a large room. I connected mine to external speakers so it's not a big deal. However, be aware that if you are presenting in a large room in front of a large number of people, you may need multiple speakers. For a classroom it will be fine. It's great for home use. In general very satisfied. This is unbeatable for the price. An Epson with similar specs (which I originally looked at) costs more than twice as much.
