how they work, they take Adopt or release moisture when required to maintain 72% humidity. I put one of these in my 500 cigar humidor which was at 69% and after about 3 hours the hygrometer confirmed the humidity in the humidor was 72%. Since then, this humidity has been maintained smoothly - even when the humidor is opened and closed several times. I don't realize how much space this 67 gram package takes up, but it does a good job with this 30 x 20 x 18 inch humidor.
