2018 repurchased. Has made 2 moves. It was working fine until a few days ago when a bird hit the external sensor. I think it was a bird. The outside temperature sensor is no longer working. It CANNOT be replaced. That's not the case in lacrosse. Revain ended I don't know when. Yadda Yadda. I found a website that is listed for $17 which is more than half the cost of a whole new watch and sensor but also sold out and discontinued. You cannot use the TX-38U-IT, only the TX-38U-IT-N. Here are a few things to consider if you think you might want this. The external sensor cannot indicate that it is working, on (batteries are good) and transmitting. When setting up, the instructions say: Batteries in the sensor, batteries in the clock and WAIT before setting the clock until the sensor connects. and wait. and wait. Move the sensor closer. Waiting. Remove and replace batteries, remove and replace watch batteries. Wait. It looks like it syncs with GPS, there's a small icon on the dial. It's just "on" from time to time and apparently randomly. It doesn't automatically sync with GPS, you REALLY need to set the time first as well as your time zone and all other information, year, month, day etc. Now that I'm ready for a new one, I won't choose this model again. And just because these questions irritate me, I probably won't choose any other offer from LaCrosse.
