I'm on a lengthy sanding project with my Dremel and have been sanding with my brand of Dremel. drums pretty fast. When I saw this set I was impressed - for the same price as 6 Dremel sanding drums I could have 55 plus several sizes of new madrels? It seemed good to be true but thought it might be worth a try. While they didn't last as long as the famous brand, there were so many of them that it shouldn't have mattered. Unfortunately, not only did they not last that long, they didn't last at all. 5 seconds after installing a new sanding drum, it breaks and flies off the Dremel. The first time this happened I figured it was user error - I didn't tighten it enough or held the drum at the wrong angle. When the second and third did the same, I gave up. I scavenged through the junk for used Dremel drums and finished my job with the rest. It turned out that the cardboard base of conventional kegs was significantly thinner than that of Dremel brand kegs. Not only did they not work, they also posed a safety hazard: if I put a pair of glasses on one of the drums, they would hit me in the eye. On a positive note, my old sanding drum mandrel was an original made a few years ago. and showed its age, so at least I have a backup now. They're not as good as my original Dremel frame either (they're plastic, not rubber), but I've been using one of the new ones with the old sanding drums the whole time I've been working today and it's been fine is working. At least it wasn't an ENTIRE waste of money.
