After reading that these monitors are made by the same manufacturer as the Apple Cinema displays, I bought this monitor to replace a dying CRT. While watching DVDs in good widescreen was a pleasure, I quickly noticed a few issues that forced me to reset the monitor and return to the drawing board. There were bright spots in the four corners of the monitor, e.g. B. Light leaks in every corner, and the contrast settings were not enough to calibrate the monitor for photo editing, the shadows were too dark. By reducing the contrast, the overall brightness was reduced so much that everything took on a gray haze feel. After playing with it for a week, I sent the monitor back and started looking again. I liked the look, the swiveling screen, the controls are easy to learn, the screen is nice and sharp and the colors are nice, but it's not in the budget. a high-end display alternative for anyone interested in using it for photo editing.
