I bought this as a gift for my daughter who loves to make her own films. It was cheap and you couldn't beat the price. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. The camera has a small screen that is difficult to see. Yes, it's compact, but maybe too small. Details are missing in the supplied instructions. We had to play around with it to figure out where the volume slider was during playback (it's the zoom button). And scaling is very limited. Every cell phone has a long range zoom. The biggest reason for my bad rating is the external microphone. When using it, try to play it, no sound or video freezes. I'm glad I tried it right after I bought it. That gives me time to get her back. I know there are hundreds of brands if not more than $1000 more but you get what you pay for. My sincere recommendation: do not buy this camera.
