This product is misleading. I grabbed some art supplies and grabbed this in a hurry. My fault, but product ads trick the user into buying something they don't need. This is not a stainless steel ruler. This is the thinnest piece of stainless steel attached to a thin piece of cork board. You can fold and bend this ruler in half. Zero use for me. The markings along the edge will be inconsistent because the cork isn't as wide as the steel, leaving a small gap between the steel and the surface the ruler is resting on. I wouldn't be surprised if someone cuts themselves using this product either. The edge is not soft at all. It can serve as a worthy slashing weapon to ward off invaders. Like ruler bullshit. As a means of slicing up your enemies to decide you.
