When I press the 15 second fast forward/rewind button with the lid on, the program pauses instead of skipping forward or backward. As such, I will not use these covers for their intended purpose. Instead, I cut them off and put a hair tie around the bottom of the remote to secure the partial cover. With this mod, I can use the 15 second jump feature effectively, hold the remote better, and know which end to hold on to without looking at it. Unfortunately, the modified lid doesn't offer adequate protection when I drop it on a hard wooden floor.
