When I ordered these I told my wife and she asked why I don't just go to the fabric store and buy a yard of muslin. Typical female answer! I don't even know what muslin is, but I found it perfect for my kombucha jars. I've told my wife that if I buy a piece of fabric and cut it into squares, I'll have a bunch of threads sticking out around the edges. I was sure that these jar lids would not come so unfinished. After all, they look great in photos. But when the package arrived, the fabric sections were actually full of stray threads along the edges. Threads I do NOT need in my kombucha. I can only imagine what will happen if you try to wash theses. My wife offered to hem the edges for me, but the buyer should beware: better just go to the fabric store.
