Review on Crankbrothers Highline Dropper Post Included by Jeb Moorehead

So far, so good. That requires a fair amount of strength.

So far, so good. Moderate effort is required to operate the seatpost lever. I installed the lever on the left and maybe my thumb isn't very strong, but it takes a lot more strength than shifting. I haven't given it much thought, but it makes sense since there is more friction than in a hydraulic line. In comparison, my Rockshox hydraulic lock is very easy to activate. The installation is very easy. Find a Crankbrothers video on YouTube, it's way better than instructions. Be careful when cutting the cable and be careful not to cut it too short on the arm. When I cut the cable (with Pedro's cable cutters) it immediately swelled and unraveled. It was very difficult to fit and crimp the cable connector onto the wires, but I somehow managed to do it eventually. I recommend measuring from the seat clamp to the rails on the old seat post before removing it so you can get it right. I mounted the lever on the left, although the track on my frame runs on the left. This results in a somewhat uncomfortable curvature, but it is doable and does not stress the cable housing. If you use 1x you probably have better options and the lever is very well designed so there are many mounting options. The most common complaint I read in this post was the quick release of the seat. I didn't realize it was a problem at all. Every time I let go of the seat it returns to the time I sit down.
