Number for those who throw away a referral without hiring a number for the company. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis and am constantly ill. The only thing that helps is warmth and when winter came last year I looked for electric blankets for my bed but decided on a mattress topper due to the variable heat dissipation. I've bought two cheap Sunbeams in the last two years thinking they were all the same. Not correct. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. Both Sunbeams controllers failed, one within a year and the other within a few months. I'm still trying to contact them to see if they can send me new controllers. Meanwhile, I really needed warmth in the cold weather, so I came back to look for mattress covers. I've only had it for a week and I'm loving it so far. However, one of the controllers was not working. I just got off the phone with the company and spoke to a nice guy named Dan who will be shipping a new controller tomorrow. I believe he is one or the owner of the company. He apologized profusely and told me to definitely call them back if I had any further problems. They also do post-warranty repairs if you need them. I followed your instructions or suggestions here and ordered a cheap cotton mattress pad to attach via email. one. With Fibro I can feel every little thing on my skin and the extra mattress topper solved that problem. I was always restless at night, trying to find a place for my shoulders in the sun's rays where I wasn't lying on those wires. Of course, if I thought it was safe, I would probably make a second pad with sunbeams, but that still wouldn't solve the controller failing problem. This mattress topper had such good reviews that I decided to spend the extra money to see if there would be a difference between this and the SB. So far I'm fucking loving this pad compared to the SB. Heat is evenly distributed and I like the part on top that doesn't get hot more than I thought. Since I've only had it for a week I'll give it more time and see how it works. I love the fact that it's made in the USA, it's a nice thick mat, and I have no problem seeing the controllers or swapping them out. The cables are good and long, including the one from the controller to the socket. If something happens I will come back and edit it. But for now I will say that you can buy with confidence.
