So it's been six months since I started buying them. Worked great to get rid of the smell and I thought it was the best thing ever until my garbage chute started leaking. Looks like the corrosion came from underneath and needed replacing. I replaced it quickly, but I want to caution you against using those strong chemicals that are at your disposal. Maybe he damaged mine in just a few months.
